Music Room Happenings!

This week our Kindergarten students are using the song “Hunt the Cows” to help us learn about sections of music that are the same and different.  Champions also used the woodblocks to keep the steady beat as the “farmers” woke up the “sleepyheads!”

First and second grade Champions are learning about the musical words staccato and legato, as well as musical form.  They used scarves to activate the listening lesson with the piece “Syncopated Clock” by Leroy Anderson.

Upcoming Music Events

Our first grade Champions are working hard to prepare for their upcoming music extravaganza on May 3.  They are ready to take you on a musical adventure to the zoo!

Kindergarten music students are preparing to present their musical extravaganza on May 24.  They will be presenting the book “My Many Colored Days” by Dr. Seuss.

Please make sure that these events are on your calendars so that all of our Champions are able to attend and perform.  We look forward to demonstrating all of the different ways that we make music together!
