I am so excited to be returning to IC Imagine this year as a part of their stellar middle school team. I grew up in Durham, North Carolina and earned bachelor’s degrees from both Radford University and Western Carolina University. Before coming to INVEST COLLEGIATE Imagine I taught eight years at an alternative high school in McDowell County.

I have been a permanent resident of Asheville since 2006 and lived here seasonally before that, working on several of the local rivers as a whitewater rafting guide. I got married along the banks of the French Broad in 2013 and now have a two year old son who seems to already share my love of learning and of the outdoors.

This is my second year at ICI.  I feel grateful to be a part of a community of educators who are so dedicated and who place such a high value on education and on meeting the needs of every single student.
