Field Trips
This year your child will attended several great field trips and service learning projects!
Service Learning
This year all 4th graders will complete two off campus projects with this local organization. Your champion will go on January 10 and May 9 (these dates are unique to our class). The first project will be near the Hominy Creek Greenway. Although these field trips see far in the future, please go ahead and turn in the permission slip use Orgsonline to pay for the cost of project. Please let me know if you would a copy of a scholarship form.
Field Trips
In addition to the service learning project, we plan to attend performances at the the Asheville Community Theater on Oct 20th and Nov 10th. The first of these will be Adventures in Folklore and the second one is Electricity, both presented by the Red Herring Puppets. We will also visit Diana Wortham for two shows this year – Nov 10th (this will be the second performance we watch that day) and Jan 23rd are the dates. We will be watching a performance of the Wright Brothersand Pilobolus’s Shadowland. Lastly, we will be visiting the NC Arboretum twice this year..dates will come soon.
